'Meet n Bleat'
Forget Meet & Greet – this is Meet ’n’ Bleat at Goat Shed! Spend 15 joyful minutes in the pen with our cheeky Boer goat herd, soaking up their character, mischief and charm.
Whether you’re snapping selfies, having a bleat-to-bleat chat, or just enjoying being around these brilliant animals, it’s a fun and relaxed session for all ages (3+). Be warned: the goats might nibble your clothes or climb into your personal space – they love to make themselves known!
Each session is £5 per person, and places are limited to 10 per session to keep things calm for the goats and cosy for our guests.
What to Expect:
- 15-minute, up-close experience in the goat pen
- Plenty of photo opportunities (goat selfies encouraged!)
- A relaxed, supervised session with plenty of bleating and bounding
- Outdoor fun, so dress for the weather and expect to get a little mucky!
Important Information:
Our Meet ‘n’ Bleat sessions will be held out in the goat pen, and as this is where the herd lives, you and your belongings may come into contact with animal droppings. Please be aware of your surroundings, and use the antibacterial spray and blue roll available to clean down your belongings at the end of the session.
You MUST wash your hands thoroughly both BEFORE and AFTER the session, with soap and warm water in the hand-washing facilities provided. Please avoid touching your face during the sessions. No food or drink is to be consumed in the pen during the session, and you MUST make sure you have washed your hands thoroughly before eating or drinking after your session.
Our Meet ‘n’ Bleat sessions will be held outside and are dependent on the weather. Unfortunately, if weather conditions are bad, we will not be able to go ahead with the session, and will get in contact to offer a new date or arrange a re-fund if needed.
Our Boer goats are cheeky and have a mind of their own. During the session, they may climb on and nibble you, please tie up long hair and make sure all loose jewellery is removed before the session.
While you will be in the goat pen, we cannot guarantee that our goats will be near you throughout the whole session. They like to do whatever they want, but fingers crossed they’ll be in the mood for a little play during your session.
Meet ‘n’ Bleat sessions may be held at the same time as other events, and due to the sessions being out in the Goat pen, the general public and other Goat Shed customers will be able to see from afar.
1.There will strictly be a no ticket no session policy on the days of Goat Yoga. For the welfare of our animals, the sessions have been limited. Tickets must be booked in advance – we can’t accept walk-ins.
2. We will keep a close eye on the weather forecast and contact you with as much notice as possible if we need to cancel due to storm warnings or heavy rain. In the case of light drizzle or intermittent showers, the session will still go ahead—so please dress accordingly. If we are unable to go ahead and can offer you an alternative date, we will do so; if not, you will be eligible for a full refund.
3. Payment will be taken when you book. Tickets are non-refundable, non-negotiable and non-transferable.
4. This event is not suitable for children under 3 years.
5. Children under 6 must be accompanied inside the pen by a ticket-holding adult.
6. All children under 16 must have a parent or guardian on-site, watching from the viewing area.
7. We trust guardians to decide whether children over the age of 6 require an accompanying adult during the session. If you believe your child may need support, reassurance or assistance, please ensure you book a ticket for yourself in advance. Sessions are strictly limited to 10 participants to maintain a calm environment for our goats and to keep the experience personal.
If a child becomes unsettled during the session and no additional ticket has been purchased, we cannot guarantee that a guardian will be allowed to enter the pen. In this case, you may be asked to remove the child and rebook a future session together, subject to availability.
8. No dogs are allowed in the goat pen, and all dogs on-site must be kept on a lead and left with a member of your group at all times. Any dogs causing disruption and distress to the goats will be asked to move away from the goat pen.
9. Please tie back long hair, remove loose jewellery, and don’t wear anything too precious – the goats are curious!
10. The risk of infection from farm visits is very small, but the diseases caused can be very serious. Therefore, your hands MUST be washed BEFORE and AFTER contact with animals and always before eating, with soap and water (wipes, gels and sprays are not effective). Please avoid touching your face during the sessions.
11. No food or drink in the pen, and hands must be washed before eating or drinking afterwards.
12. As a precaution, women who are, or who may be pregnant must avoid close contact with the animals.
13. Goats can be unpredictable, therefore Fielding Cottage LTD cannot be held responsible for any nibbling of clothes or damage to personal belongings. All sessions will be supervised by a member of the Goat Shed team, however, please be aware that the goats have minds of their own.
14. All animal experiences are subject to change without notice. Including if circumstances dictate bad weather or one of the herd being unwell and it may be necessary to change your experience with little notice.
15. Goat Shed reserves the right to end the experience or ask individuals to leave the premises should they behave in an inappropriate or unsafe manner.
16. Experiences are not suitable for those allergic to dust, animal fur or bedding.
17. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, however some time may be deducted from your experience.
18. Suitable footwear must be worn when entering the goat pen or field. For safety reasons, open-toed shoes, sandals or flip-flops are not permitted.
19. By purchasing you agree to the Terms and Conditions – should you require any further information then please speak to a member of the team, or email enquiries@goat-shed.co.uk.
